Geronimo and JMX

Geronimo utilize the JMX Remoting specification to expose parts of its internal workings via JMX. MC4J can connect to Geronimo and display the MBeans in the Geronimo Server as well as providing an application hierarchy view.

Connecting MC4J to Geronimo

Simply select Create Server Connection from the Management menu or click on the add connection toolbar button. Use the Server Type drop-down to select Geronimo as your server type and enter a name for your connection. You must also enter principle and credentials to connect to the server. (The defaults in Geronimo are currently "system" for principle/user and "manager" for credentials/password. Press "Next" and then "Finish" to use the default settings and connect to Geronimo. You should see a progress bar display while the beans are initially loaded into MC4J.

Tests

This has only been tested with Geronimo 1.0 M2 and may not work with other versions.
